Sal de Aquí

Sal de Aquí is a recognized Mexican company, with nutritional, sustainable and cultural impact, that produces handmade salt lines. On this occasion they created a line of chocolates and contacted us to develop their branding & packaging.

Scope:

Packaging Design

The project had the challenge that we had to follow the line of a brand whose product is very well positioned but doing something totally different. We also had to transmit the origin of the product, the traditions and the visual contrast that exists in Mexico.

One of the best parts of the work process was the collaboration with the John Langdon Down Foundation, which offers educational, medical and psychological programs to children, adolescents and adults with Down syndrome and their families of low economic resources in Mexico.

We were privileged to collaborate with them, by doing the art direction of the linocut artwork that we used as texture on the packaging. The piece captures the richness of Mexican biodiversity and the four essential elements in the salt production process.

To avoid waste and the creation of garbage, we included the piece printed inside the packaging, so that when detached it can be kept as a decorative element, a bookmark or a nice gift.
