MARYAM ALMALKI

MARYAM ALMALKI is a brand that establishes a new definition of timeless elegance. Each collection is an ode to the eternal – an inquisitive and innovative, viciously vintage answer to the need for heels that do it all.

Designed in Qatar, brought to life by artisans in Italy then shared worldwide, their creations follow no fleeting trend — for that reason, it was very important that the branding didn’t either. With a commitment to crafting heels that epitomize versatility and enduring grace, each and every one of their designs emits a signature energy that resonates with all whom their wearers cross paths.

We sought to build an elegant and timeless graphic identity that represents all the care that goes into the design and creation of footwear and encompasses its infinite forms and style. It was good to discover from our very first meeting with our client, Maryam Al-Malki (MARYAM ALMALKI’s Creative Director), that we had perfectly understood what was to be communicated, as we were enthusiastic about the same ideas and graphic references for their timeless essence and its high aesthetic value, lowered with a bit of coolness.

For the identity, we chose the resource of having two very different official logos to communicate the timelessness and contemporaneity of the brand. The sans serif logotype seems to be the redesigned version of the script logo, which although modern, denotes that the brand has been around forever. The monogram, which endows the brand with authenticity, is formed by the two initials of the brand: M+A.

The color palette is a great achievement, because although it has a lot of personality, it is at the same time sober enough to be infinitely combinable with future collections.

We were also in charge of the design and programming of their online store, following the same guidelines elaborated in the Brand Book: to develop the narrative of an elegant, effortless and timeless woman who lives a versatile life in the contemporary world.
