Head Salon
Head Salon is a game changer in a city where beauty parlors are overly feminine or conventionally masculine; where the shapes of old customs are obsolete and there’s a craving for modernity, gender equality and for new beauty standards.

The Challenge
The challenge was to convey that the salon has the same spirit as its potential customers: that it has a cosmopolitan mindset, that values function over form; that efficiency and the time of both clients and employees is respected and that work and entrepreneurship are paramount, but personal image is no less important.
Concept
The brand concept is based on an attitude: “Like a boss”, which makes the person feel comfortable with oneself, confident; recognizing one’s own worth by resisting to trends and outsmarting manipulation.
This brand attitude also extends to the way we want the clients to experience the service; to make them feel ownership of the space, comfortable to work on their laptops while waiting for their appointment.
Naming
Head is a word multiple connotations. Not only it refers to the leader or person in charge of something, but also to the leading position when it comes to trends; not only the beauty fashion kind of trend, but the ones that could affect a persons mentality.
And of course, the head is where most of the services offered by the salon are carried out.
Identity
A font that could transmit plenty of personality without the need of the emblem was selected for the logotype. The playful width of each character represents the flexibility of services offered by the salon.
The emblem is based on the stylized shape of a pair of scissors and the letter ‘H’.
Photoshoot
Photographic material was produced to convey the cosmopolitan essence of the brand and its wish to deviate from the traditional forms that are firmly fixed in the culture of San Pedro Garza García, where the salon is located.
